Public invited to Solent NHS Trust Wellbeing Discovery Event and Annual General Meeting

Solent NHS Trust is inviting the public to its Wellbeing Discovery Event and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 16 September 2019 at the Trust's headquarters at Highpoint Venue, Southampton.

The Trust will be showcasing some of its services and offering people the opportunity to explore how the trust keeps people healthy, safe and independent at, or close to home, through interactive stands.

The event will take place between 3.30pm and 5.30pm before the formal AGM, between 5.30pm and 7pm, and will include:

  • Taking part in mindfulness sessions
  • Trying therapeutic planting and growing
  • Having a go at mindful colouring
  • Finding out about comfort boxes
  • Discovering experiential exercises
  • Tasting and learning about healthy eating options
  • Finding out how to keep active
  • Discovering how you can help look after you feet

The community event will be followed by our AGM where we will talk about the difference we have made over the past year, the way in which we keep people safe, well and independent and we will look to the future. The formal presentations will be followed by an inclusive round table discussion and question and answer session.

For the second year running the free event will support the Communication Access Symbol UK. To ensure the right support and adaptations are made for people with communication and information needs, please identify any needs you may have when registering for the event.
